Imran Khan begins 2018 election campaign from Minawali

LAHORE – The major political parties of Pakistan will kick off their election campaigns today in different cities with only one month remaining for general elections 2018.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan will be addressing a public rally in his hometown Mianwali.

Khan, who is contesting the July 25 polls from four constituencies, including Mianwali’s NA-95, will try to woo the voters.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will officially launch its election campaign on June 25 from Karachi.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will be coming to Karachi tomorrow for two days. He is expected to address the party rally and also visit constituencies where the party has fielded candidates.

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed kicked off his election campaign on Sunday with a motorcycle tour of his constituency.

While speaking to media men, Rasheed said that he was thinking of replacing his party symbol from the current pen and a bottle of ink to a motorcycle.

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will begin his electoral campaign from his home constituency of NA-57, Murree today. Abbasi will address a rally in Kallar Syedan.

Moreover, the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), a coalition of religious parties, plans to hold a rally in Peshawar today.

The MMA’s central leadership is expected to address the rally at Ring Road.
