‘Encounter specialist’ Abid Boxer levels shocking allegations on Shehbaz Sharif in latest video

LAHORE – Former police official Abid Boxer, who is accused of several extra-judicial killings and land grabbing, made alarming revelations, which appears to be damaging for already embattled Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) ahead of polls, in a recent video.

The video was shared by a programme anchor on a private news channel sending shock waves across voters who are about to use their right for forming a new government in the election set to be held on July 25.

Boxer, who is also known as an encounter specialist for his alleged ruthless above the law actions during the 1990s, was reportedly brought back to Pakistan earlier this after being arrested in the UAE.

In the shocking video clip, the ex-police inspector alleged that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was involved in grabbing lands using tampered documents.

Explaining the reasons behind his framing in the murder cases, Abid Boxer revealed that the former Punjab chief minister wanted to purchase land owned by his uncle but at the price of his own wish. After they failed to make a deal, the former police official said that he and his uncle, Zafar Abbas, were nominated in a fake case of threatening a man.

He claimed that Abbas along with his family, later went abroad after he could not bear the pressure from then chief minister.

Denying his involvement in fake encounters, Boxer asserted that he was framed in false cases and subsequently arrested on the nod of former CM and his son Hamza Shehbaz.

“A plot was also made to kill me in a fake encounter but remained safe as former president Pervez Musharraf announced emergency in the country,” he said, adding that the court then nullified his detainment and he was released.

“When Shehbaz came into power in 2008, he again started harassing me and I had to go to abroad by leaving my family alone,” he claimed.

On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered the relevant authorities to produce wanted criminal Abid ‘Boxer’ in court on July 27.

The orders were given as acting LHC Chief Justice Anwarul Haq took up the plea of Abid’s father-in-law, who has petitioned the court to order authorities to produce Abid in court following his reported extradition to the country earlier this year.
