PTI s Shafqat Mehmood resigns over poor performance in LB polls

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shafqat Mehmood has resigned as party’s organiser in Lahore, accepting responsibility of poor performance in local bodies elections.

In a statement he said that party chief Imran Khan had expressed confidence in his personality by appointing him in the office however he failed to come up to expectations. I hold myself accountable for party’s poor performance in Saturday’s polls, he added.

Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) could manage to secure only 15 out of total 274 union councils of Lahore.
