DUBLIN – Ireland on Friday announced a 14-member squad for Test series against Pakistan. William Porterfield will lead the team.
The only Test match will be played Pakistan and Ireland on May 11 in Dublin.
According to the ICC website, the Ireland XI includes Ed Joyce, Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Niall O’Brien, Gary Wilson, Stuart Thompson, Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin, Andre Balbirnie, Andy McBrine, Tyrone Kane, Nathan Smith and James Shannon.
Famous Irish players Jack Tector, Simi Singh, and Barry McCarthy have to miss the historic Test match.
Following the match against Ireland, Pakistan will play a two-Test series against England at Lord’s (May 24-28) and Headingley (June 1-5).
