Is South Africa s Temba Bavuma sleeping during World Cup 2023 Captains Day Event?

Prior to the ICC World Cup opening between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5, all 10 captains of the participating nations were present at a special media session on Wednesday in Ahmedabad.

Among all the captains, including Babar Azam of Pakistan, Rohit Sharma of India, Jos Buttler of England, Kane Williamson of New Zealand, and Pat Cummins of Australia, Temba Bavuma of South Africa became the talk of the town for no cricket-related reason.

A picture of the Proteas captain dozing off during the captain’s meeting went viral on social media.

Bavuma stressed, however, that he was not dozing off and instead placed the responsibility on the camera angle in response to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

When an account posted a picture of Bavuma napping, he tweeted, “I blame the camera angle, I wasn’t sleeping,” in response.

Despite Bavuma’s denial that he wasn’t sleeping, the 33-year-old’s admirers on social media made humorous posts with the his image.

Here are the reactions of cricket enthusiasts on X
