In a significant boost to bilateral relations, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, Engr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, will arrive in Pakistan tomorrow for a two-day official visit. The visit is expected to result in the signing of investment agreements worth $2 billion between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host a formal dinner in honor of the Saudi delegation at a private hotel. This visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
As per official sources, the Saudi delegation is scheduled to visit the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park on October 11. They will also hold meetings with senior military officials, and ministerial-level roundtable discussions will take place the same day.
The Saudi Minister is expected to sign multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with his Pakistani counterparts, paving the way for enhanced cooperation. The visit will also feature business-to-business (B2B) meetings and various sessions with representatives from different ministries.
The Saudi delegation will include representatives from key industries, including construction, engineering, financial services, IT, hospitality, agriculture, food energy, and petroleum. The diverse nature of the delegation underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to exploring investment opportunities across a wide range of sectors.
Engr. Khalid Al-Falih is also set to meet with senior leaders from Pakistan’s private sector to discuss potential collaborations. The visit is poised to strengthen economic cooperation and further Saudi investments in Pakistan’s rapidly developing industries.
