DUBAI – Pakistan Cricket Board has cleared pacer Muhammad Irfan of Islamabad United after thorough investigations regarding alleged spot-fixing.
The bowler is likely to play today’s match as part of Islamabad United against Lahore Qalandars and he has already joined his teammates for the practice session.
Earlier, it was reported that PCB had sent back Muhammad Irfan, but the latest developments suggest that he was given the green signal to remain a part of defending champions.
PSL chairman Najam Sethi clarified that he was not suspended although he was questioned regarding the scam.

It is relevant to mention that the cricket board suspended Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif on Friday for their alleged involvement in corruption regarding the ongoing Pakistan Super League season 2. The central contract of both the cricketers has been cancelled by the PCB.
Pakistan Cricket Board has widened the scope regarding the alleged corruption in Pakistan Super League and currently, as many as 5 players are facing investigations, it has been learnt.
