Media reports quoting family sources say the funeral prayers of the deceased activist will be led by Jamat e Islami (JI) founder Abul A’la Maududi’s son, Syed Haider Farooq Maududi.

The reports say that Asma Jahangir’s family has long terms with Maududi family, adding that the deceased lawyer had been spotted at the residence of Haider Farooq Maududi.

Maududi’s son has expressed negative remarks against the JI, founding by his father and currently led by Sirajul Haq.
