Sources claimed that Atta-ul-Haq Qasmi wanted to appoint his own son as MD PTV but top officials opposed his decision and it was informed to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi that MD PTV and his companions were looting PTV with both hands. As a result, Atta-ul-Haq tender resignation to evade his arrest but newly appointed MD PTV has started investigation against ex-MD on a large scale.

PTV employees have expressed gratitude over appointment of Sardar Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera as new MD PTV.

The newly appointed MD PTV has warned all employees that corruption would not be tolerated at any cost.
