KARACHI (Web Desk) – While law enforcement agencies are in a bid to connect the dots regarding the brutal murder of Amjad Sabri, a woman has claimed that the sketch of the qawwal‘s killer released by Sindh Police bears a striking resemblance with her missing son, who she has not heard from for three years.

In a television interview, Hameeda Begum, a resident of Karachi’s impoverished Gizri neighborhhod, said her son Nasir used to wear a hat similar to the one shown in police sketches.
She went on to say that a man named Tahir Baloch took her son with him in 2014, and that she had been searching for him ever since. She said she had also lodged an FIR at the Clifton police station.
“If Amjad Sabri was murdered by my son then punish him… but at least his whereabouts should be known to his family after the passage of three years,” she stated.
