FIA thwarts human trafficking attempt in Multan, dozens offloaded from Saudi-bound flight

Fia Thwarts Human Trafficking Attempt In Multan Dozens Offloaded From Saudi Bound Flight

In a significant operation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) successfully thwarted an attempted human trafficking scheme, preventing over a dozen passengers from boarding a Saudi Arabia-bound flight from Multan.

According to FIA officials, 15 passengers preparing to travel to Saudi Arabia were offloaded from the flight. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the passengers had planned to continue their journey to Spain from Saudi Arabia, raising suspicions of human trafficking activity.

FIA officials also arrested two human traffickers who were accompanying the group of passengers. These individuals were found to have facilitated the illegal travel arrangements, charging each passenger approximately PKR 1.5 million for the journey to Spain. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the traffickers.

Human trafficking remains a persistent issue in Pakistan, and FIA continues to ramp up its efforts to curb such criminal activities. Recently, several operations have exposed international trafficking networks, with similar arrests made in Karachi and Lahore. The agency is committed to preventing the exploitation of vulnerable individuals seeking better opportunities abroad.
