ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – MQM leader Farooq Sattar was released on the orders of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
According to Geo News, the MQM leader who was detained by Rangers on August 23, was released after both Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah discussed the issue over a telephone call and came to an agreement.

Sattar was among five MQM leaders detained after violent protests by MQM workers targeting media offices in Karachi. Following the protests, a crackdown was initiated in which the party’s headquarters Nine Zero was sealed along with several offices in Karachi and Hyderabad.
