Woman martyred, 7 injured after India resorted to unprovoked firing at Shakargarh sector

SIALKOT – A woman martyred and seven other injured after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing on working boundary.

An intense exchange of fire along the Working Boundary in Shakargarh is underway.

“Intense and heavy exchange of fire between Pakistani and Indian forces is continued since 8 pm in Shakargarh along the Working Boundary,” said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Pakistan Rangers has been befittingly responding to Indian aggression and inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy.

Earlier, BSF resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC), in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The Indian forces violated the ceasefire through unprovoked fire in Hotspring, Jandrot and Nakial sectors along the LoC.

The retaliatory fire targeted Indian posts following which clouds of smoke were seen rising from there. There have been no reports of losses on the Pakistani side, in the wake of fresh violation on the LoC.

On Thursday morning, five civilians were injured due to unprovoked Indian firing and shelling in Harpal and Chaprar sectors.

Since October 21, at least dozen civilians embraced shahadat while more than 30 were injured at working boundary.

On Tuesday, the Pakistan Foreign Office summoned the Deputy Indian High Commissioner and lodged strong protest over repeated violation of the LoC and Working Boundary by India.
