LAHORE — Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has announced a new direct route from the Punjab capital to two top southeastern Asian destinations.
On December 24, the new flight PK-897 will take passengers from Lahore to Bangkok – the capital of Thailand – with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur.
According to an agreement, the Malaysian Airline will take PIA customers to the Thai capital in cases of the low number of passengers.

If there will be the sufficient number of passengers, a PIA official said the national flag carrier will keep its journey further to Bangkok.

Meanwhile, the airline announced an attractive reduction in its fares for travel to Europe, China, and Afghanistan from December 14 to 28.

PIA has reduced Rs8,000 on a return ticket for Beijing with up to 40kg of baggage allowance and Rs2,000 for Kabul from December 14 to 28.

The national flag carrier also slashed the fares for Paris, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Milan by Rs5,000 to Rs6,000.
