MULTAN – Media speculation is high after photos of empty shells near Fort Abbas emerged on social media.
There were conflicting reports that it was the Indian army which fired shells on the Pakistani side of the international border, however, investigations reveal that the shells which are actually ‘extra fuel tanks’ might have been dropped by Pakistan Air Force during drills.
Fort Abbas is a tehsil of Bahawalnagar District, in southern Punjab. It is situated south of Haroonabad, near Faqirwali, on the border of Pakistan and India.
Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force (IAF) sources have denied that there has been any IAF activity near Fort Abbas.
No reports of casualties so far.
Indian sources have denied that there has been any IAF activity near Fort Abbas. They are probably old empty shells. According to all reports nothing has happened near Fort Abbas, except someone found emoty shells and uploaded photos on social media.

Tensions have been running high since Indian aircraft crossed into Pakistan this past Tuesday. Pakistan retaliated, shooting down a fighter jet Wednesday and detaining its pilot, who was returned to India on Friday in a peace gesture.
