RAWALPINDI – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has once again summoned former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
The accountability bureau has summoned the lawmaker for a second time on May 29; he would be questioned in the corruption cases regarding power projects and award of illegal contracts.
The accountability watchdog has already summoned Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on the same day.
Bilawal is also expected to record his statement in the money-laundering case.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari has already secured bail in six cases from the Islamabad High Court. The cases in which the legislator is on bail include inquiry into Opal 225 property, Park Lane, Tosha Khana vehicles, suspicious transactions besides others.
The anti-graft body has submitted 11-page report before the IHC according to which Zardari is named in 36 NAB inquiries; the report says NAB has established Zardari’s role in at least eight cases so far.
