RAWALPINDI – Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired a meeting of Corps Commanders Conference in Rawalpindi on Tuesday and vowed to stand by the struggle of people in Indian occupied Kashmir.
According to the military’s media wing, the forum fully supported the government’s rejection of Indian actions regarding Kashmir.
“Pakistan never recognized the sham Indian efforts to legalize its occupation of Jammu & Kashmir through article 370 or 35-A decades ago, efforts which have now been revoked by India itself,” Director General Inter-Services Public Relations, Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted after the huddle.

The meeting comes a day after the Indian government abolished Article 370 of the constitution which granted special status to Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Article 370 of the Indian constitution gave special status to occupied Kashmir. It limited the power of the Indian parliament to impose laws in the state, apart from matters of defence, foreign affairs and communications.
