ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Election Commission of Pakistan Tuesday snubbed PTI Chairman Imran Khan in response to a letter by Imran which called for the resignation of ECP officials.
PTI leader Naeemul Haq confirmed that the party had received the ECP’s letter. “We are reviewing the contents of the letter and will issue a response by this evening,” he said.
The letter said that the ECP is not liable to give any explanation to PTI chief Imran Khan.
After the report by the three-judge poll inquiry commission, Imran wrote a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner calling for action against ECP officials and Returning Officers.
The ECP wrote in its response to the PTI that the commission is an independent, constitutional body and is not answerable to any political party.
