RAWALPINDI (Staff Report) – This is the sixteenth time that super model Ayyan Ali could not be indicted in the currency smuggling case and the hearing of the case has been adjourned till September 28 by the Customs Court.
The case was presented in the court of Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed. Customs authorities told the court that challan against the accused could not be presented because the matter is sub-judice at the high court.
He said copy of high court’s decision has not been received yet.
Ayyan Ali’s counsel Latif Khosa told court that the court gave verdict in his client’s favour and the state is also respondent in the case.
On this, Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed adjourned indictment of the accused till copy of the high court’s order is received.
