LAHORE (Staff Report) – Deputy Special Representative for the Paris Climate Conference Ambassador Philippe Lacoste says Pakistan is one of the most affected countries by climate change and needs international cooperation to address the challenge, Radio Pakistan reports Tuesday.
He was speaking in a programme of Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs Channel, which focused on impact of climate change and the forthcoming Paris Conference.
The Ambassador said developed countries have both resources and technologies which they should share with the developing and affected countries.
Parliamentary Secretary for Interior Maryam Aurangzeb said Pakistan has one of the best climate change policies and the only requirement is provision of resources and its effective implementation.
Head of Islamabad-based Climate Research Development Centre Dr. Shahid Kamal said that we will have to look at how to reduce the impact of carbon di-oxide on our health.
