Sc To Hear Article 63 A Review Petition On Sept 30

ISLAMABAD – The review petitions under Article 63-A has been scheduled for hearing.

According to reports, the Judges Committee decided to schedule the hearing of the 63-A review petitions on September 30.

A five-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, will hear the case.

The bench will include Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandokhail, and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel.

A five-member larger bench has also been formed for the audio leaks case, which will be headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. The bench will include Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Mandokhail, and Justice Musarrat Hilali.

It is likely that the audio leaks case will be scheduled for a hearing next week. Justice Muneeb Akhtar has not been included in the audio leaks case bench due to his mention in the case.

It is worth noting that on May 17, 2022, while delivering a verdict on the presidential reference, the Supreme Court ruled that the votes of dissident members would not be counted. The court referred the question of lifetime disqualification back to Parliament.

Review petitions were filed on this matter.
