WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump has a colorful past with a romantic history defined by multiple marriages, and relationships with socialites.
Lately, Trump’s loyal aide Natalie Harp suddenly found herself at the centre of intense scrutiny after reports revealed deeply personal messages she allegedly wrote to POTUS while her extraordinary access to the American President raised fresh questions about the unusual influence she holds inside his inner circle.
Harp, a special assistant and executive assistant to Trump, is not a Cabinet secretary. Yet her closeness to the president made her one of the key figures around him, frequently accompanying Trump during official engagements, travel and sensitive moments.
The Daily Beast published letters that Trump’s 35-year-old aide Natalie Harp allegedly wrote to him

The controversy gained momentum after American news website The Daily Beast reported written exchanges between Trump and Harp dating back to 2023. In the reported correspondence, Harp expressed an exceptionally strong personal attachment to Trump, including language indicating that she was determined never to disappoint him.
Another reported passage showed Natalie expressing jealousy toward women who appeared to have the opportunity to spend time with Trump simply by talking to him and looking attractive. She reportedly said she wanted such a role and imagined conversations with Trump about “everything and nothing,” rather than constantly discussing work.
The revelations triggered comparisons with past presidential scandals. But despite the intense speculation, there is no credible evidence confirming that Trump and Harp have had a romantic or sexual relationship.
Harp first became connected to Trump after publicly crediting his Right to Try policy with helping her gain access to experimental treatment during her battle with bone cancer. She later appeared at the 2020 Republican National Convention and became involved with Trump’s political operation following his first presidency and during the 2024 campaign. Her reputation inside Trump’s orbit grew rapidly.
She became known as “human printer” because she reportedly carried a portable printer and supplied Trump with hard copies of favourable news reports, social-media posts and other material he preferred to read on paper rather than on a screen. That seemingly simple role evolved into something much more consequential: direct access to the president.
She also assists Trump with aspects of his Truth Social activity, including taking dictation for posts. Natalie is also described as someone who helps manage information reaching the president and remains constantly available around him. That level of access has reportedly frustrated or puzzled some people within Trump’s wider circle, particularly those who believe her influence has grown far beyond what would normally be expected from her formal position.
One of the clearest examples of Harp’s extraordinary access reportedly occurred during Trump’s July 2026 trip to Turkey. Amid reported Iranian threats, Trump allegedly left through an elaborate alternate travel arrangement, transferring from Air Force One using a catering vehicle before boarding another aircraft.
Harp was reportedly among a small group of aides who accompanied him. Other senior officials remained connected to the decoy Air Force One, making Harp’s presence during the highly unusual departure particularly striking. For critics and observers, the episode became another illustration of just how close she remains to Trump during high-security situations.
The most explosive element of the story, however, is not Harp’s travel schedule or her “human printer” reputation. It is the reported correspondence. The Daily Beast reported that staff members discovered personal material among the large quantity of documents and other items Harp reportedly prepared for Trump. Some of the writings were photographed and subsequently circulated.
The reported language went far beyond conventional workplace admiration. Natalie allegedly wrote that Trump was all that mattered to her and stressed that she never wanted to let him down. In another reported message, she appeared to envy women whose role involved spending time talking with Trump and looking attractive. She reportedly said she wanted that kind of job and described wanting conversations with him that extended beyond work.
The story has inevitably prompted some commentators to invoke the Monica Lewinsky era, given the combination of a powerful president, a younger female aide and intensely personal attention. But there is a crucial distinction. There is currently no credible evidence proving a romantic or sexual affair between Trump and Harp.
Reports of personal notes, constant proximity and intense devotion may raise questions, but they do not establish an affair. Some descriptions of their relationship have instead likened the dynamic to something closer to father and daughter.
