KARACHI – The Karachi police, which has long been criticized for letting the law and order situation get out of hand, has had to contend with further criticism after one of its officers were apprehended in a raid on Sunday in the New Karachi area.
According to reports, law enforcement agencies have arrested a police officer who was reportedly involved in carrying out armed robberies in different parts of the city.
The official was arrested after a raid in the New Karachi area. Media reports suggest that the suspect was serving in the central district Police station.
Weapons and drugs were also recovered from his possession.
