MANCHESTER – Chief of British armed forces Nicholas Carter declared General Raheel Sharif the best military commander in the world, saying he sees leadership qualities of Raheel Sharif with great respect.
While paying tribute to the Army Chief, Nicholas Carter said he personally appreciated Raheel Sharif’s leadership qualities very much. “He is one of my good friends,” said Carter adding Pakistan’s sacrifices in connection with the continued war against terrorism are commendable.
Talking to media during an event of Pakistani community in Manchester, he said the forces of Pakistan and United Kingdom had deep-rooted ties.
Replying to a question regarding the ‘heightened situation’ at Indo-Pakistan border, he said the the leaderships on both side of border are extremely capable and they will go for the best option avoiding to escalate the situation.
