DUBAI – Chief of the Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa met United Arab Emirates’ Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Zabeel Palace in Dubai on Monday.
During the meeting, General Bajwa and Sheikh Mohammad discussed relations between Pakistan and UAE and multiple issues pertaining to the military and the current situation in the region. Deputy Ruler of Dubai Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum was also present during the meeting.
The army chief lauded the development witnessed by the UAE in different fields during his first UAE visit as military head.
According to a press statement issued by media office of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed and his guest discussed ways of boosting bilateral relations and cooperation between both nations as well as a number of military issues and the region’s status quo.
Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Gargash, Dubai director of protocol and hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman and brigadier Talal Humaid Abdullah Belhoul also attended the meeting.
