SIALKOT – In a tragic turn of events, as many as 80 sheep were crushed to death when a speeding truck ran over their herd in Sialkot on Friday, police sources said.
The tragic incident happened when a large herd of sheep came onto the path of two dumper trucks which were racing each other on Sialkot’s Marala Road.
Unfortunately, one of the speeding trucks lost control and ran over the flock of sheep, killing at least 80 animals and injuring over a hundred other sheep. The shepherd also sustained injuries in the accident.
The accident disrupted the flow of traffic in the area and a crane was used to remove the sheep carcasses from the road.
