COAS Gen Bajwa calls for collective effort to smash out terrorism

QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff general Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived in Quetta on Sunday and expressed solidarity with victims of military vehicle attack in the city left eight soldiers and seven civilians dead.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, General Bajwa attended funeral prayers for the soldiers and paid a visit to the CMH Quetta to inquire about the health of the injured.

The Army Chief was briefed about the deadly attack that stirred panic among the citizens and law enforcers of Quetta, a day before the 70th Independence Day.

General Bajwa expressed that a collective effort by state institutions was necessary to weed out terrorism.

He vowed to continue the war against terrorism till a sustainable peace in the country and added that to pay rich tributes to the fallen soldiers, the nation would celebrate the Independence Day with reverence and zeal.
