Two injured in Landi Kotal market blast

LANDI KOTAL – At least two people were injured after a blast ripped through a marketplace in Landi Kotal on Friday, local media reported.

According to reports, the blast occurred when an improvised explosive device, planted by unknown militants, exploded in Zakhakhel Adda Rangra market.

In the blast, thee vehicles parked nearby were damaged partially. Two people named Muhammad Rehman and Awwal Sher were injured and have been shifted to a hospital.

The security forces have reached the site and cordoned off the area, besides launching a search operation to trace the suspects.

In 2014, two security officials were martyred and nine others were injured when roadside IED went off in Landikotal.
