MIAMI (Web Desk) – Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida and member of the most recognizable political families, has announced his candidacy for president of the United States of America.
Bush made an appearance at a multicultural college, Miami Dade College to make the formal announcement, reported CNN.
Addressing the crowd at the college, Bush argued U.S. is on “a very bad course,” and told the people present that they have a decision to make.
As for himself, he said, “The question for me is what am I going to do about it,” announcing, “And I’ve decided: I’m a candidate for president of the United States of America.”
During the speech, Bush was interrupted by U.S. protestors who called for immigration reforms, wearing yellow t-shirts with letters that read, “Legal Status Is Not Enough”. Replying back, he promised to pass “meaningful immigration reform” once he is a president.
The former Florida governor told the cheering supporters, “We don’t need another president who merely holds the top spot among the pampered elites of Washington. We need a president willing to challenge and disrupt the whole culture in our nation’s capital.”
Bush spoke fluent Spanish and reminded voters he married a Mexican. After this announcement, he has become the 11th GOP contender to jump in the race.
