LAHORE (Staff Report) – The 62nd birth anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being observed in befitting manner on today (Sunday), at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto and Naudero.
Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) has arranged functions in this regards.
The party leaders and workers who would assemble at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto on the day from the nook and corners of the country would pay
tribute to the brave leadership of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Besides, Central Leaders of PPP, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah along-with his cabinat, MNAs, MPAs and central leaders of PPP also visit the mausoleum of martyrs of Bhutto family at Garhi Khuad Bux Bhutto.
Quran Khuwani and Dua will be held at Bhutto House, Naudero, On Sunday, An Iftar-dinner will be hosted in this regard.
Co-Chairman and former president of PPP Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Leader of the Opposition in National Assemble Syed Khursheed Ahmed, MNA Faryal Talpur and others will attend the function.
On the occasion a 62nd pound cake will be cut.
Similarly, PPP Rawalpindi would celebrate Benazir Bhutto’s birthday . Quran Khawani and dua would be offered for the departed soul.
Among others, the former Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Zamur Khan, former MNA Fouzia Habeeb, Regional Coordinator Raja Imran Ashraf and member Central Executive Committee Qazi Sultan Mehmood would participate in the ceremony.
City President PPP, Amir Fida Piracha said Benazir would alive in our hearts and she will never die adding that her services rendered for the promotion of democracy will always be remembered. Benazir Bhutto was a politician of international stature adding that she took the country towards progress and prosperity.
It is mentioned here that Benazir Bhutto was killed in bomb blast,
after addressing a public rally at Liaquat Bagh on December 27, 2007.
