ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says foreign investment has increased in the country due to bold decision of the government to eliminate terrorism.
Addressing a seminar in Islamabad on Monday, he said the government has taken steps against terrorism to strengthen economy and attract foreign investment.
He pointed out that a strong economy is a pre-requisite to deal with issues like terrorism.
He said the alleviation of poverty and unemployment will help address the issues of extremism and terrorism.
He expressed the confidence that the effective policies adopted by the government will help achieve five to six percent growth rate.
He urged the need for using latest technology for improving governance.
