PTI welcomes two criminal brothers from Pakpattan

ISLAMABAD – Days after coming out of the Farooq Bandial saga, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has welcomed two other persons with the criminal record into its ranks.

Mohammad Shah Khagga and Ahmad Shah Khagga, two brothers from Pakpattan, on Tuesday joined Imran Khan-led PTI. Both the new members have been nominated in multiple cases on charges of rape, abduction, robbery, etc.

A rape and abortion case is registered against Mohammad Shah Khagga, who has announced to contest upcoming polls from NA-145, at Malka Hans police station. One of Shah’s sons is an absconder in notorious Hajj corruption case whereas another son named Salahuddin is facing charges of financial misappropriation in National Fertilizer.

Another new entrant of PTI, Ahmad Shah Khagga, who is all set to take part in elections on PTI’s ticket from PP-193, was allegedly caught red-handed while attempting robbery.

It is yet to see whether the PTI would expel them after the backlash as it had earlier ousted Farooq Bandial hours after joining the party.

Farooq Bandial Expelled

Farooq Bandial, a politician from Punjab, who was convicted of raping former film star Shabnam before being pardoned in Zia regime, was expelled from PTI hours after he was welcomed by the party chairman.

Farooq Bandial, who hails from Punjab’s Khushab district, was handed a death sentence by a Special Military Court in 1979 for committing “armed dacoity” and “gang-rape” of the actress at her house in Gulberg area of Lahore.

Bandial was one of those five accused who allegedly raped the actress in front of her husband and her son.
