KARACHI – The newly elected Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has reportedly been looking to overhaul the operations of the provincial government early into his tenure to create the impression of change in the province.
According to media reports, the new CM has taken up office with extra energy, starting his day on Tuesday by reaching the Sindh Secretariat as early as 9 am and expressing anger over the lazy staff members, a majority of whom did not make it to work on time.
Senator Saeed Ghani who has been appointed as an Adviser to the CM, said that the ministers who did not reach their offices on time would be held accountable and corruption would be quashed in the province.
Ghani remarked that “change” had come in the province and went on to clarify that former Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah would not contest senate elections.
On the other hand, Murad Ali Shah who was derided earlier for moving around with heavy protocol, has ordered a significant reduction in his protocol squad. He will now travel with a squad of four police vehicles instead of nine.
