ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the matters related to national security and operation in Punjab.
A statement from Prime Minister’s Media Wing said the meeting was held here at the PM House and was attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar
Ali Khan, Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar and DG ISI Lt. General Rizwan Akhtar.

The PM and army chief General Raheel Sharif discussed the Punjab operation at the PM House, sources said.

The meeting also reviewed progress on the ongoing military operation and noted with satisfaction that the operation has made significant gains.
The participants strongly condemned the Lahore blast that killed 71 people last week.
