LAHORE (Staff Reporter) – Punjabi Parchar is going to hold Visakhi Mela (Spring Festival) here at the Alhamra Hall No 2 Mall Road on Thursday.
Former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will be chief guest of the occasion. Rana Sana Ullah (Punjan Law Minister), Rana Mashood (Punajb Education Minister), Chaudhry Sarwar (PTI), Qamar Zaman Kaira (PPP), Zakia Shahnawaz (PML-N), Shaukat Basra (PPP), Sohail Warraich (Geo TV), Salman Ghani (Dunya News), Syed Noor (Film star), Saima Noor (Film star), Resham(Film star), Nauman Ijaz (Drama artist), Iftikhar Thakur (Stage actor), Shaukat Ali (Singer), Nadeem Abbas Lonewala (Singer), Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad (Writer/Poet), Imran Nazir (cricketer), Ghulam Abbas Butt (Kabbadi player), Baba Najmi (Poet), and Afzal Sahir (Radio presenter) will participate in this event.
Punjabi music and dance, and literary sessions including presentations from different intellectuals will be held during the Visakhi Mela, said director Punjabi Parcher Ahmed Raza Punjabi in a statement on Tuesday.
Entry will be free and an award ceremony for outstanding contributions to Punjab and Punjabi culture will also take place.
