ISLAMABAD – Senate has decided to convene a meeting of civilian government, military leadership and judiciary in order to prevent any conflict between the institutions.
Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani on Thursday presented the idea in the House which successfully managed to obtain the consent of senators for holding an inter-institutional dialogue. The decision follows the Panama case verdict in which former prime minister was declared disqualified.
Rabbani stressed that all institutions should work within their limits, which have been described in the law.
The representatives of the parliament, judiciary and military will be invited to take part in the talks.
The prime minister, chief justice and military leaders will be given invitation in this regard.
Lashing out at former prime minister’s rally, Senator Aitzaz Ahsaid that the time for dialogue had ended, adding that Nawaz Sharif had launched conspiracies against six former PMs of Pakistan.
