KARACHI (Staff Report) – Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Munawar Talpur -brother-in-law of former President Asif Ali Zardari- Tuesday approached Sindh High Court (SHC) to get an pre-arrest bail.
In a petition, Talpur argued that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has issued him a notice for alleged involvement in a corruption case and that NAB officials are continuously harassing him.
“I am a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and the court should grant me a pre-arrest bail,” he preyed to the court in plea.
It is also relevant to be mentioned here that Munawar Talpur is husband of Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur, who is considered as a powerful PPP leader in Sindh. Faryal Talpur also twice served as Nawabshah district Nazim.
