ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday condemned the terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain that killed 13 people and injured several people.
He expressed grief over the lost of precious lives in the incident, adding that no one could threaten the people of Spain.
The terrorist attacks also drew condemnation across the globe. US President Donald Trump also slammed the attack in Barcelona and said, “will do whatever is necessary to help”.

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy term the van attack in Barcelona a “jihadist terrorism” and called for required global response.
“Today the fight against terrorism is the principal priority for free and open societies like ours. It is a global threat and the response has to be global,” Rajoy told a news conference in Barcelona.
Prime Minister Theresa May said, “I am sickened by the senseless loss of life in Barcelona today. The Foreign Office is working to establish if any British nationals were involved in this appalling incident and we are in close contact with the authorities in Spain, who have our full support,” read a statement.
‘Twin Attacks’
At least 13 people were killed and several other injured in two separate terrorist attacks in Barcelona on Thursday and in Cambrils on Friday.
On Friday, an Audi A3 car struck into pedestrians in Cambrils, around 120 kilometres south of Barcelona, leaving six injured and one of them is not in stable condition. In response, police successfully thwarted the bid by killing five attacker some of whom wearing explosive belts.
On Thursday, at least 13 people were dead and several injured after a terrorist in a van ploughed into pedestrians in a famous street packed with tourists and locals in central Barcelona.
The van zigzagged as it slammed into victims on tree-lined Las Ramblas promenade before the armed attacker ditched the vehicle and took hostages in a Turkish restaurant nearby.
