In an informal interaction with newsmen, Maryam expressed that the sitting regime did not need any opposition as it would ‘topple itself’.
Sources say the members discussed ways to confront the government especially on the issue of the economy and inflation; the opposition has already announced that it would stage protests after Eid-ul-Fitr.

The PML-N’s party meeting came a day after PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari hosted an informal get together over iftar for opposition party leaders in Islamabad; this was the first time Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto discussed political issues with each other.
The coalesced opposition announced after the dinner to launch protests inside and outside the parliament after Eidul Fitr and hold an All Parties Conference (APC) to “chalk out a joint strategy on how to tackle the problems faced by Pakistan”.
Maryam and Hamza Shahbaz are also expected to visit Lala Musa to condole with PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira over his son’s tragic death.
