Premature to distribute sweets over Panama verdict, says Interior Minister Ch Nisar

Wah Cantonment – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Friday that it was premature to distribute sweets over the Panama case verdict.

Talking to newsmen in Wah Cantonment, he expressed that he would agree with former president Asif Zardari that it was not the time to distribute sweets as the final decision was yet to be reached. He went a mile more and said that even after the final verdict, there was no need to distribute sweets from either side.

Nisar said that the decision of the Panama Leaks verdict was taken keeping in mind evidence and not personal wishes. He said that the five judges unanimously agreed on formation of JIT. The Interior Minister further said that everyone will have to accept the decision of the Supreme Court.

“The stance of the Prime Minister and his family is that they possessed assets abroad,” said Nisar and acknowledged that Nawaz Sharif and his family bought some flats in London.

The legislator also took a sarcastic jibe at Asif Zardari and maintained that Zardari lecturing on Article 62, 63 was a joke in itself.

“Asif Zardari lecturing others on Article 62, 63 is a sign of the end of times,”he said.

Regarding the controversial story published by Dawn newspaper, Ch Nisar expressed that the report by the committee constituted to probe it, would be presented on Tuesday.
