RAWALPINDI – Bodies of seven Pakistani soldiers who embraced martyrdom a day earlier in an anti-terror operation in North Waziristan, were sent to their respective native towns for burial with full military honours on Sunday.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa along with others officers offered their funeral prayers at General Headquarters (GHQ), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

Nine terrorists were also killed in an ambush during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Ghailani area of North Waziristan.
A group of militants who were reported to have infiltrated from across the border was involved in the attack and apparently hiding in the compound.
The soldiers who embraced martyrdom were identified as Captain Junaid, Havaldar Ameer, Havaldar Asif, Havaldar Naseer, Havaldar Abdul Razzaq, Sepoy Samiullah, and Sepoy Anwar.
The area was cleared following the operation and the deceased terrorists were being identified, the ISPR statement added.
