Two high-profile ISIS terrorists killed amid widespread operation in Karachi

KARACHI –  Sindh Police claimed to have killed two terrorists belonging to banned Daesh (ISIS) group in an encounter in Karachi on Thursday night.

Officials said the encounter took place at Mangophir area where two terrorists were gunned down amid encounter with the law-enforcing personnel.

Police claimed that the terrorists, identified as Saifullah and Hanif, were high-profile and associated with banned Daesh. Arms, ammunition and laptops were recovered from their possession while police have launched investigations.

After a recent spike in terrorism in Pakistan, law enforcement officials are in hunt for suspects and militants across the country and especially in metropolis.

Pakistan has intensified its operation near the border area of Afghanistan. Pak-Afghan border has also been sealed at Torkham following the attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine that took over 80 lives.

Earlier, according to the ISPR, the army killed more than 100 suspected militants in intelligence-based operations carried out by security forces across the country, including Punjab.
