ISLAMABAD – Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has set up a separate counter here at its main campus for disabled persons, facilitating them in their educational pursuits.
This is the first time in the university’s history that the disabled were being given special treatment in availing the educational amenities.
During the new admissions begins from the first of February, physically handicapped people will be fully assisted in the admission’s process by the Directorate officials.
It has been planned to establish similar counters at the university’s forty-four regional offices throughout the country.-Online
