LAHORE – In a tragic turn of events, at least three people lost their lives while two others were left injured when the roof of Bagh-e-Jinnah’s Cosmopolitan Club collapsed, Friday night.
According to rescue officials, the rundown building was under construction when the roof’s ‘lenter’ shattered, bringing the entire ceiling down.
Five labourers were sleeping in the building at the time of collapse and as the debris was removed, three dead bodies were recovered.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where one of them is said to be in precarious condition.
One of the deceased was identified as Liaquat while the identities of other victims have not been revealed.
