Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday rubbished the rumours regarding formation of any forward block in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The PML-N leader rejected an impression of intra-party split while addressing a gathering in Kallar Syedan, adding that existence of difference of opinion was essence of democracy but it did not reflect emergence of a forward block.
Nisar came hard on political rivals for spreading fake information and said that opponents will have to face defeat in a fight to break the PML-N. He added that the party will take part in next general election with full force.
This is not the first time that PML-N stalwart came forward to dismiss the rumours. After he relinquished post of interior minister, there were speculation that Nisar will desert the party, but he refuted all such reports.
Earlier on Saturday while addressing in Murree, the former minister appreciated that civilians – the government and opposition – and military leadership are on the same page against the US policy on South Asia.
He also said that recovery of the detained US-Canadian couple and their children has nothing to do with the improved and more stable relations between Pakistan and America.
He also slammed Narendra Modi-led Indian government as saying, “it will be foolish to expect anything good from Modi, known for having anti-Muslim sentiments.
Chaudhry Nisar also condemned attack on The News reporter Ahmad Noorani.
