Imran Khan discomforts Shah Mehmood, Sheikh Rasheed during PTI Lahore rally

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan blew the lid off his experience about the progress of the party in the last 22 years during the Minar-e-Pakistan rally in Lahore on Sunday.

In his two-hour-long speech, Imran quoted two particular incidents involving party’s Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Awami Muslim League supremo Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and apparently took a jibe at them in front of a massive gathering.

Khan said that Shah Mehmood Quraishi looked at him with suspicion when he was offered to join PTI, adding “He (Quraishi) must be thinking I had gone mad.”

The PTI chief also referred to Sheikh Rasheed, and said that he(Rasheed) used to call him the leader of ‘Tanga party’, but the same party moved to next phase when it attracted masses in 2011 on the same ground.

Besides sharing his struggle for the party, the PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, presented an 11 point agenda in his rally, which attracted Lahoris in droves.

His points focused on health, tax and education reforms besides vowing to weed out corruption and relying on country’s resources to formulate an independent foreign policy.
