Who will head Information Ministry, Saad Rafique or Ahsan Iqbal?

LAHORE – After removal of Senator Pervaiz Rashid as Minister for Information and Broadcasting, there has been a wave of speculation on who will lead the ministry.

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and federation’s Minister for Planing and Development Ahsan Iqbal are the most favourite for the slot.

According to reports, the federal government is considering Ahsan Iqbal’s nomination for the Information Ministry.

While some sources claim that Khawaja Saad Rafique is likely to be appointed as the new Minister for Information.

The media reports suggest Rafique will also be holding the Ministry of Railways in the meantime.

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid was ousted on Saturday for being responsible for the leaked report published in Dawn reporting about rifts between Government and Military.
