Nisar rejects conspiracy against General Raheel Sharif

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has ruled out any possibility of conspiracy against Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, as the government, nation and the entire army stands behind him.

“The army chief, General Raheel, has already won the hearts of people in last one and a half year,” the interior minister said while addressing a press conference. Speaking against the army was harmful to the country and the military, he added.

“It is not possible for few military officers to de-seat the army chief.”

The interior minister further said the whole nation should stand by General Raheel Sharif as the army was the only institution that has achieved success in guerilla-styled war.

He further said better services are being introduced in National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in next six months.

The minister said now there is no need to come to NADRA office for renewal of identity cards as this facility is being provided online.

The Minister said a tracking system has been introduced in NADRA through which one can know the status of one’s CNIC. He said a citizen will have to come to the NADRA office for first time acquiring of CNIC for biometric verification.

He said NADRA is going to establish a DNA laboratory in next six months, which will facilitate all the law enforcement agencies to carry out investigation of cases.

He added the authority will introduce 13 next generation business centers of international standards to facilitate the masses in next six to seven months.
