BEIJING – Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi attended the Chinese Navy’s 70th-anniversary celebrations in China, the Radio Pakistan reported.
He also inspected international fleet review held in connection with the 70th anniversary of China’s Navy.
During the visit, the Naval Chief held meetings with various Chinese personalities, including China’s Minister of National Defence Wei Fenghe.
They exchanged views on professional matters of mutual interest. The Naval Chief thanked Chinese Minister of Defence for China’s participation in the recently held multi-nation naval exercise Aman-2019 in Pakistan.
Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi said Pakistan gives values to the traditional Pakistan-China friendship.
The two sides described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a game changer for the region.
According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, the Naval Chief’s visit will further strengthen relations between the navies of the two countries.
