Army captain among four FC personnel martyred in Balochistan terrorist attack

RAWALPINDI- Army Captain was martyred and four soldiers were embraced Shahadat when terrorists opened fire on Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan troops on Saturday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack took place when the FC Balochistan troops were carrying out a combing and sensitisation operation between Hushab and Turbat area.

The four martyred personnel includes Captain Aqib, Sepoy Nadir, Sepoy Atif Altaf and Sepoy Hafeezullah, the ISPR said.

Earlier, at least six Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom in North Waziristan after terrorists from across the border fire raided their patrolling party.

Terrorists opened fire at a border patrolling party near Gurbaz, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Saturday.

The martyred included Havaldar Khalid, Sepoy Naveed, Sepoy Bachal, Sepoy Ali Raza, Sepoy Muhammad Babar, Sepoy Ahsan, the ISPR added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan while condoling the martyrdom of 10 soldiers in North Waziristan and Balochistan, saluted the armed forces personnel, who continued to sacrificing their lives to keep the nation safe.

Ten personnel of the Pakistan armed forces, including an officer, were martyred in two separate incidents in North Waziristan tribal district and Balochistan.

“I salute our armed forces personnel, who continue to lay down their lives fighting terrorists to keep the nation safe,” the prime minister said in a tweet.

He expressed his condolences and prayed for the families of the brave soldiers, including an officer, martyred while fighting the terrorists.

Chief of Army the Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said the Pakistan armed forces would ensure defence and security of the country at the cost of their sweat and blood.

“We shall ensure defence and security of motherland at the cost of our sweat and blood,” he was quoted as saying by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor on his official twitter handle.

The COAS paid salute to the martyrs of the firing incidents occurred on Pak-Afghan border and Balochistan, and their families.

“These are dying efforts of frustrated inimical forces while Pakistan moves from stability to enduring peace. It’s time for the world to facilitate regional peace,” he added.
